MDA Hellas participated in the ‘Euromyasthenia’ research project funded by the European Union under the 6th Framework Programme for the benefit of public health.
In this programme we teamed up with reputable European research laboratories and care institutions, with a view to developing actions that will improve the quality of life of European patients suffering from muscular Myasthenic diseases.
The aim of the research programme was to create a European database of biological samples from patients, to develop new diagnostic methods and to build a network of cooperation and communication to promote the exchange of scientific knowledge and experience.
The participation of MDA Hellas in this programme was particularly important for us because we had the opportunity to get to know other scientists from around the world and to discuss the issues that concern us.
